INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE ON OZONETHERAPY OFFICIALLY FORMED.

Last October 8th, in the city of Vienna, during the European Ozone Congress, the International Scientific Committee on Ozonetherapy – ISCO3- was officially formed and it is integrated by the most selected and experienced physicians and researchers envolved with this therapy worlwide. It is presided by Dr. Velio Bocci from the University of Siena, Italy, whose investigations and publications about the effects of ozone is a mandatory reference in this field. As an ozonetherapist and as a mexican I am proud to share that our dear teacher Dr, Froylan Alvarado Güemez, president of the Mexican Association of Ozonetherapy, was elected among hundreds of candidates to become part of the group of 21 experts that leads the training, research and application of ozone gas in medicine all over the World.

The foundation of ISCO3 is enourmosly relevant for the advance and eventual incorporation of ozone therapy in health Systems Worldwide. It is necesary that all ozone professionals work together under the same regulatory Framework, with the same parameters that have proven to be safe and effective for so many ailments. We should also incorporate the latests breaktroughs in biochemistry and phisyology of oxidation into the practice of ozonetherapy.

The Objectives of ISCO3 are the following:

a)            To determine the scientific and medical merits of each particular use of ozone,

b)            To standardize each particular use of ozone based on scientific evidence.

c)            To work towards the harmonization and unification of criteria at the

international level among different scientific societies.

d)            To establish the medical and technical requests for the use of ozone therapy

generators.

e)            To develop and maintain a library of all published and presented papers on

ozone therapy.

f)            To elaborate a basic scientific dossier on ozone therapy that may be used by

different national associations in the regularization process of the therapy in their countries.
