What is ozone therapy?

Is the use of the ozone gas (O₃), a triatomic oxigen highly oxidizing wich application with therapeutic purposes encourages the antioxidant system; at the same time helps the immune system, reduce pain and inflamations, and stimulates the circulation and oxygenation of the tissues. This gas also has germicidal properties and a invigorating and rejuvenating effect by reducing the damage of cell oxidation (oxidative stress).

Contraindications for this therapy?

Active or recent hemorrhage, uncontrolled hyperthyroidism or deficiency of lactate dehydrogenase-6-, first trimester of pregnancy. Also there are some contraindications in applications such as breathing directly or direct intravenously in large volumes.
