Page 1 of 2 New technology for diagnosis and monitoring in the Integrative Medical Center SANAR
Dr. Luis David Suárez Rodríguez
To achieve a proper diagnosis and suggest appropiate treatment, sometimes doctors need support from laboratory and cabinet studies that allow a deeper analysis of the clinical context of each patient. In recent decades advances in diagnostic technology are impressive, thanks to the incorporation of new tools for measuring and analizing in a dynamic way the body tissues and the state of their functions. Conventional examples are MRI, scintigraphy, the echocardiogram, Doppler ultrasound, enzyme immunoassay testing (ELISA) and many other tests that are a formidable arsenal for modern medicine. However, many of these studies require sophistacetd analysis and special facilities, which greatly limits their geographical availability and also increases their prices. A common concern for the team members of the CMI SANAR is, besides to establish with certainty a clinical and functional diagnosis, to offer the patient a measurement tool to assess the results of our treatments. Preferably, the system must be non-invasive, should be performed in a simple medical office and should give reliable results, easy to interpret and as quickly as possible.
This system combines the bio-impedance (analysis of conductivity and electrical resistance in tissues) with pulse oximetry and analysis of the variability of heartbeat, using a software to break down a large number of physiological variables. This equipment provides valuable information on the status of living tissues, emphasizing the analysis of cellular respiration and metabolism, the perfusion, oxygenation and conductivity and electrical resistance of all tissues of our body. The information and results of this system do not substitute conventional laboratory or cabinet tests, but rather offers comprehensive view of the patient’s homeostatic state: namely, it allow us to evaluate how well we are physiologically adapted to new clinical and biological situations. The presence of this equipment in the IMC SANAR is owed to the partnership with Fundación Selva Maya, AC. who are fighting to preserve natural and cultural heritage of the jungle of Quintana Roo, so with each scan made most money is allocated to this foundation. Looking forward to see materialized the global vision of environmental health to promote good individual health.
Warning! ES Teck system does not replace other medical tests. ES Teck system should be used in conjunction with other medical tests (eg, laboratory tests, imaging, EKG, All results must be considered within the context of individual clinical history, symptoms, known diagnoses, current medications, treatment plans and therapies. The final report is the sole responsibility of the practitioner.
