Yoga is the art of healing, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, through the practice of asanas (postures, movement with the breath), Pranayama(breathing techniques), meditation, visualization, and positive intentions. Yoga also maintains health and restores vitality, discovering happiness, clarity, balance, inner peace, and to awakening to our purpose in life!

 

On a physical level, yoga helps to stretch and strengthen the muscles and ligaments as well as improve bone density, spinal alignment and posture. Yoga postures also have an impact on the functioning of our organs (kidneys, liver, stomach, lungs, heart). Yoga helps improve immune and hormonal function, it stimulates digestion and the elimination of toxins, and it has a beneficial impact on the respiratory and circulatory systems of the body.

 

Mentally and emotionally, yoga brings concentration, peace and clarity to the mind, helping balance our emotions. Yoga awakens kindness, compassion, and respect towards ourselves and others. Yoga teaches the importance to make friends with your body.

 

On the spiritual level, yoga helps to connect us to our inner silence.  So we may find happiness from within, without having to search for external circumstances to determine our happiness.

 

Yoga is held in the sacred garden of Sanar. The classes are more intimate and limited to a certain amount of people per class.  This allows me to give my full focus and attention to the needs of each and every individual. Allowing the practice to be a more of a one on one experience. In the yoga garden we create a non-egoistic atmosphere so everyone can feel welcome to the practice without intimidation. I encourage anyone who is has an interest, even if it is you have never stepped foot on a yoga mat, to feel free and welcome to come as you are.

 

This is an individual practice of self-exploration and my goal is to be an inspiration to my students on their inner journey towards healing and empowerment!
